Biff Busick (fka Oney Lorcan) has explained why he has a 90-day WWE non-compete clause following his release.
Busick was one of many in-ring talents who were let go by WWE on November 4. Despite wrestling in NXT for majority of his WWE career, Busick has revealed that he will be a free agent 90 days from his departure.
NXT contracts traditionally have a 30-day non-compete clause. In a vlog on his YouTube channel, Busick recalled signing a main-roster deal when joining 205 Live in March 2019, noting:
I’ve been getting a lot of questions about why I have a 90 day no-compete rather than a 30 day no-compete. When I wrestled for 205 Live, the show used to travel around with SmackDown, so when I got called to 205 Live, I re-signed a contract to a main roster contract, so rather than have the 30 day no-compete that’s in the NXT contract, my contract contained a 90 day no-compete clause.
