Former WWE music composer Jim Johnston has discussed Triple H’s involvement with the creation of his WWE entrance themes.
From The Game to The King of Kings, Triple H’s entrance music can be associated with some of the most iconic moments in WWE history.
Speaking on the RRBG podcast, Jim Johnston revealed that the Cerebral Assassin had an unusual amount of say in his music. Noting that Triple H would be respectful when they’d work on a new project together, Johnston said:
“Triple H was very involved because he was a big star, but also even more involved when he became involved with Stephanie and ended up getting married and then became really up the corporate ladder, so, he had an unusual amount of say in his music. But I would say overall he was, even though he could have been more forward with me, I would say overall he was pretty respectful of my turf and let me come up with stuff. But he had a lot of different themes over the years. He had the Hunter Hearst theme, the harpsichord theme. Then he was a major player of DX for a long time. Then ‘My Time.'”
Triple H’s last official match took place at a 2019 house show in Japan. The WWE Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development recently made his first appearance for the company after suffering a cardiac event in September.
