Ticket Sales Up For WWE Day 1 Pay-Per-View

Ticket Sales Up For WWE Day 1 Pay-Per-View

An update has emerged on ticket sales for the upcoming WWE Day 1 pay-per-view, set to emanate from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

As per WrestleTix, almost 8,000 tickets had been distributed as of Saturday (December 11). With an estimated setup of 9,594 seats, there were 1,612 tickets for the event available as of the weekend.

WrestleTix noted that the upper decks of the arena had been expanded, and that there has recently been ‘strong movement’ of tickets for the show:

The event will be headlined by Roman Reigns defending the Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar. This match was planned for WWE Day 1 instead of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view as the company reportedly wanted to make the January 1 show feel significant.

Big E is currently set to defend his WWE Championship against Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins, however advertising has hinted that a change will be made to this match.

The New Day will challenge The Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Title, and Edge will go one-on-one with The Miz during the pay-per-view.

Early betting odds have emerged on the announced matches, which you can read about at this link.
