For a lot of people, a match with Bryan Danielson would be considered a dream, but what about Danielson’s dreams? A dream man can have dreams, too!
Speaking to Joey Hayden of the Dallas Morning News, Danielson spoke about his dream opponent and scenario within AEW.
Danielson revealed he would love to have a match with Darby Allin, specifically in Seattle, where both men are from. He said:
“I think a really interesting one – this would be, if you’re talking about a dream scenario, it would probably be with Darby Allin and that match would happen in Seattle. We’re both from there, and just telling a story of two guys kind of from the same place but are completely different. One is young and on the rise and already a superstar, one is aging and this is the twilight – that sort of thing. That, I think, would be a pretty cool story.”
For the present, Danielson will need to focus on tonight (December 15), where he faces Hangman Page for the AEW Championship in the main event of AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming.
