Former NXT star Mercedes Martinez made her AEW debut on tonight’s (December 29) New Year’s Smash episode of AEW Dynamite.
Martinez helped Jade Cargill defeat Thunder Rosa in the semi-finals of the TBS Championship Tournament. She then helped Cargill attack Thunder Rosa after the match before Ruby Soho made the save.
Martinez previously wrestled for AEW as the Joker entrant in the Casino Battle Royale of the 2019 All Out pay-per-view.
Tony Khan posted to Twitter to confirm Martinez is signed with the company.
