With Lio Rush’s announcement of his free-agent status from AEW next month, fans were left wondering what other contracts might be expiring soon.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, Rush’s is one of the numerous contracts set to expire in the coming weeks, saying:
“From AEW’s side, we’re told that the contract expiration is one of many that is running out over the next month or so, and there’s a possibility that some of those expirations will be used moving forward. We’re told they won’t be publicly announced by the company.”
While AEW reportedly has no plans to publicly announce contract expirations, details are likely to emerge via social media as performers seek out booking opportunities or promote matches for other promotions.
AEW contracts have been a popular subject of late with Cody Rhodes reportedly also being a free agent, which he teased in a recent promo amongst a wide variety of other topics on AEW Dynamite.
