Amanda Huber has commented on Mustafa Ali’s WWE contract situation, sending the SmackDown star a message of support.
On January 16, Ali announced that he requested his release from WWE. Following reports that WWE has informed Ali that his request will not be granted at this time, fans have taken to social media with the hashtag ‘#FreeAli’.
Noticing the trending hashtag, Huber expressed sympathy, recalling WWE denying her late husband Brodie Lee’s release request in April 2019.
Rooting for Ali, Amanda tweeted:
“I keep seeing #FreeAli is trending. I know what it’s like watching someone ask for their release and get stuck. I promise the future is ready for the amazing things @AliWWE is going to do. It’s sucks it’s delayed but know we are rooting for you.”
As of writing, Huber’s post has been liked by over 7,000 Twitter users, including WWE’s Sasha Banks:
Ali reportedly had a heated argument with Vince McMahon before asking to be let go by the company. The SmackDown star has not featured on WWE TV since the October 29 edition of SmackDown.
Mustafa Ali had previously been confirmed for the WWE 2K22, set to hit shelves in March. Stay up to date with every star announced for the upcoming video game at this link.
