Sami Zayn has taken to Twitter to comment on his show stealing WrestleMania 38 match on WrestleMania Sunday.
Sami Zayn was involved in one of the most fun to watch WrestleMania matches of all time this past weekend when WrestleMania 38 saw him taking on Jackass star Johnny Knoxville in the culmination of an extended feud that went all the way back to January’s Royal Rumble.
Speaking out on Twitter, Zayn wrote:
“My Wrestlemania match against Johnny Knoxville is one of my all time favorites. Definitely one of the matches I’m most proud of. I’ve had a lot of great matches in my career, I’d put this up with any of them. Anyone who saw this match will remember it. That’s as good as it gets.”
Although Zayn has previously commented feeling like a match between himself and Knoxville at WrestleMania was not likely to have been the original plan, it sure went on to provide some of the most memorable moments from either night of WrestleMania.
The incredibly entertaining match saw Sami Zayn foiled by the Jackass crew at every turn with special appearances by some of Knoxville’s most recognizable Jackass crew including Jason “Wee Man” Acuna who notably body slammed Zayn in an enormous move despite his 4 foot tall stature.
