Hangman Adam Page shared what match had him worried that he literally ‘might die in a new interview after his successful title defense.
Hangman Adam Page may have fended off Adam Cole for the AEW World Championship, beating Cole to retain his championship gold on last week’s episode of AEW Rampage but there was one match from the recent past that made him suspect he might ‘perish.’
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet Adam Page spoke about the 60-minute match with Bryan Danielson that made him think he might die and why it is actually one of the AEW matches he’s most proud of.
Page said of the Danielson match and his other proud moments in AEW:
“Probably the 60 minutes with Bryan, mostly because I wrestled for 60 minutes. I thought I might die, 60 minutes is a long time to do anything. I thought I might perish but I got through it.
“But then there is also the match with Kenny against The Bucks, and winning the title. Those are the three.”
Adam Page also discussed reconciling his public and personal personas, commenting on the similarity between himself and the ‘Hangman’ Adam Page character, saying:
All of me is the character. It’s very weird and difficult to do, but it is also cathartic, like this is sh***y, but this is me.”
When pressed about how so, Page said, “I have never been a perfect person… but I just put it out there.”
Adam Page appeared on last night (April 20) episode of AEW Dynamite in a stare-down with CM Punk, alluding to a future feud between the two.
