WWE SmackDown star and current Intercontinental Champion Ricochet has called out NXT’s Carmelo Hayes for a match.
Throughout the past few months, we’ve seen a number of main roster stars make appearances on NXT, namely Riddle, AJ Styles, Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, Rey & Dominik Mysterio, Natalya and the Viking Raiders.
It sounds like Ricochet isn’t opposed to doing the same, as speaking with Cultaholic, he said:
“AJ went back, Nattie is down there now. All these guys are going back down there and it seems like they are having a great time. Me and Carmelo had a thing going. If Carmelo wants the heat, he can have it. Whoever it is, I would love to go down there, that’s always been a home of mine. Anytime.”
Hayes is a former NXT North American Champion in his own right, a title he’ll challenge for again on tomorrow night’s Spring Breakin’ edition of NXT 2.0, as he takes on current champion Cameron Grimes and Solo Sikoa in a three-way.
Ricochet is also a former North American Champion, having held the title from August 2018 until January 2019, winning it from Adam Cole and losing it to Johnny Gargano.
