In a rare move, both WWE and AEW have acknowledged the recent cross-promotional nuptials of WWE’s Charlotte Flair and AEW’s Andrade El Idolo.
Both companies sent joyful posts with WWE.com writing about the wedding as well as a Tweet from the official AEW account.
While initial reports described that the wedding took place, the couple had an exclusive spread released later by PEOPLE Magazine featuring copious gorgeous photos of the special day.
The wedding took place in front of 160 guests at Hacienda Mi Ranchito in Torreón, Mexico which is also Andrade’s hometown.
In the accompanying article, Charlotte Flair described her love for Andrade in a sweet way, noting:
“Before I met him, I did not know anything except my job. When I met him, he opened my eyes to travel and life and love and a different culture. And I was so strict with my job and did not know how to enjoy both life and work at the same time. And he opened me up to that.”
From social media posts, it looks like fellow WWE star Finn Balor was in attendance. According to the article, former WWE star Nia Jax (real name Lina Fanene) was in attendance as well, serving as a bridesmaid.
A detail that has been somewhat lost in the shuffle in an otherwise relatively dramatic wrestling weekend however how Father of the Bridge, Ric Flair rocked a baby pink suit for the big day. He was of course on hand to walk Charlotte down the aisle.
