Jeff Hardy’s recent DUI arrest this week caused a lot of changes to plans regarding he and Matt as a tag team, both in AEW and outside of it.
The Hardys were pulled from the AEW World Tag Team Championship Ladder match on this week’s Road Rager episode of Dynamite, with the match instead being just the Young Bucks and Jurassic Express.
Hardy was also slated to team with Matt against Dragon Lee and Dralistico at last night’s (June 18) AAA TripleMania show, but with Jeff pulled from the match, Matt instead teamed with a mystery partner.
Matt’s partner? The long lost Hardy brother, Johnny Hardy, who was played by Johnny many names, the former John Morrison and recent Johnny Elite.
The new Hardy Boys were like new coke however, as they were defeated in the main event of the show, before Johnny Hardy attacked Dralistico and Dragon Lee after the match, leading to Hardy dropping him with a Twist of Fate.
