The updated line-up for the upcoming AEW Blood & Guts match has now reportedly been revealed.
The feud between the Jericho Appreciation Society, Blackpool Combat Club, Eddie Kingston, Santana & Ortiz is set to culminate next Wednesday (June 29) in the promotion’s second ever Blood and Guts bout.
While it was previously thought that the bout will feature the same 10 men that competed in the Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing, the upcoming match is actually slated to feature 12 stars, per the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Confirming that the plan was always for the bout to be six vs six, Dave Meltzer wrote:
“While this wasn’t made clear, the Blood & Guts match on 6/29 in Detroit will be six-on-six, with Chris Jericho & Daniel Garcia & Matt Menard & Angelo Parker & Jake Hager & Sammy Guevara vs. Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston & Santana & Ortiz & Wheeler Yuta and the Bryan Danielson picked mystery guy. It was always going to be six-on-six with Yuta added and the decision to put Guevara with JAS was to give them the sixth person”
On Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, Bryan Danielson announced that he’s injured, noting that the newest member of the Blackpool Combat Club will be revealed at Forbidden Door, face NJPW’s Zack Sabre Jr at that event, then wrestle during the Blood and Guts match next week.
