WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has compared AEW star Wardlow to a number of notable WWE legends.
Wardlow has been a dominant force on AEW TV since his debut, recently winning the TNT Championship on the June 6 edition of Dynamite.
Speaking with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Mark Henry argued that in a couple of years, Wardlow will be as dominant as the likes of Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Seeing a ton of potential in the powerhouse, Henry said:
“I think Wardlow is an unbelievable competitor and he’s gonna be even better. The Wardlow that we see right now? In a best of three? I think Mark Henry might beat that guy, but in the next two years, Wardlow is gonna be the most dominant force in pro wrestling since Brock Lesnar, since Goldberg, since The Rock, since Steve Austin. And then, that guy is gonna be the best of three will be at 3-0.”
Henry joined AEW as a backstage coach in May 2021. The former World Heavyweight Champion last wrestled during the 2018 Greatest Royal Rumble match in Saudi Arabia.
Wardlow most recently stepped into the ring to defend his TNT Title against Orange Cassidy during last month’s Dynamite: Fyter Fest Week 1 event.
The champion has only lost two matches this year so far. Stay up to date with AEW win/loss records for 2022 using our tracker at this link.
