The two out of three falls rubber match between Daniel Garcia and Bryan Danielson took place to open up tonight’s AEW Dynamite show, which saw Bryan come out on top after a gruelling half an hour, but more drama ensued after the match.
The fallout saw Bryan Danielson offer a handshake to Garcia out of respect, before Chris Jericho jumped Bryan in the ring. Garcia then pulled Jericho off Bryan, and the two got in each other’s face.
Chris Jericho then spoke to Tony Schiavone after the match, where he offered to meet Garcia in the ring on next week’s Dynamite, where he will decide whether he wants to be mentored by Danielson or Jericho.
Ricky Steamboat, who served as the timekeeper for the match, then confronted Jericho, telling him he thinks Danielson would be a better mentor for Garcia, before he chopped Angelo Parker.
