AEW held a two hour special episode of AEW Rampage last night, acting as night two of the AEW Grand Slam special that started on Dynamite.
Last night’s show began with a no disqualification tag team match between Sting and Darby Allin against Buddy Matthews and Brody King of the House of Black.
The match saw Darby Allin get up to his usual antics, performing Coffin Drops off the stage area and taking a plunge off the side of the ramp.
Darby ended up bleeding during the match, which ended up with him requiring stitches in his head. Darby posted a photo of his stitches on Twitter, alongside the caption telling us that it was ‘worth it’.
Darby and Sting ended up picking up the victory in the match when Japanese wrestling icon the Great Muta made his AEW debut to aid Sting against Buddy Matthews.
The match also saw Julia Hart take a terrifying bump off the apron, hitting her head on the concrete after missing the table. An update on Julia’s status has since emerged.
