A major AEW event looks like it has been confirmed to return later this year.
AEW Dynamite has put on many memorable special editions of the Wednesday night program.
From Beach Break to Grand Slam, these events have set the standard for the best episodes of the show since the inception of Dynamite.
Appearing on My Mom’s Basement with Robbie Fox, AEW President Tony Khan was asked whether or not a Winter Is Coming edition of Dynamite will be returning in 2022.
Khan answered:
“I can tell you that there will be Winter is Coming again this year.”
This would mark the third instalment of the event with the 2020 edition seeing the debut of Sting and the 2021 edition having the Hangman Page vs. Bryan Danielson AEW World Championship 60 minute time limit draw.
With All Elite Wrestling set to put on Winter Is Coming in December, that would mean the company has put on 12 special editions of Dynamite this year.
