It looks like an upcoming episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown is scheduled to air pre-taped rather than live.
WWE of course heads to Saudi Arabia on Saturday, November 5 for Crown Jewel, which means it’ll be taking place less than a day after the November 4 episode of SmackDown.
While no official announcement has been made about an upcoming pre-taped show, WWE’s events page does not list a live SmackDown for November 4, which means it’s very likely that the October 28 show will feature a double taping – the usual live airing of SmackDown, and then another episode that will air the following week on November 4.
WWE employed this strategy just over a month ago when it headed to the UK for Clash at the Castle, so it wouldn’t really be anything out of the ordinary.
The October 28 episode of SmackDown will air on FS1 rather than FOX, but there’s been no confirmation as of yet that the November 4 episode will be the same – we will of course keep you updated as word comes out.
