WWE is set to launch a talent search in Africa.
WWE never stops searching for talent around the world. Over the past few years, the company has increased their focus on localized talent recruitment to see stars from places that are often featured.
It looks like the promotion is set to make their next effort in that department.
During the WWE third quarter 2022 conference call, co-CEO Nick Khan stated that the company are going to do a talent search in Africa.
The first talent search will take place in Nigeria next week.
This news comes off the heels of WWE announcing their new streaming home in Sub-Saharan Africa.
As previously reported, the company also announced their third quarter 2022 earnings report.
Also, a major celebrity appearance has been teased for this Saturday’s WWE Crown Jewel event during the conference call.
Nick Khan says WWE talent reps will be heading to Nigeria next week as part of new localized WWE content in Africa.
He said their recent int'l rights deals all saw an increase in rights fees.
