Having seen interest from both WWE and AEW, an independent wrestling talent has finally decided to sign with AEW.
As reported by Wrestling Observer, Bandido was offered a contract after his match against Chris Jericho on the September 28 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite.
Dave Meltzer had previously reported that Bandido had signed the AEW contract, only to correct his reporting a day later.
It has now been confirmed that Bandido has signed with AEW, with Wrestling Observer stating that:
“The length of the deal and details on his ability to work outside AEW are unknown as of now.”
Bandido is set to return to AEW for the AEW Rampage on Friday November 11, facing Rush.
The match is part of the World Title Eliminator Tournament, with the winner receiving a world title match at AEW Dynamite Winter is Coming.
The winner of the Bandido vs Rush will face the winner of Ethan Page vs Eddie Kingston, which takes place on AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, November 9.
The final will take place at AEW Full Gear on Saturday, November 19, with the title shot scheduled to take place on December, 14.
