According to an internal WWE memo, this Saturday’s (November 5) WWE Crown Jewel event set an impressive record for the company.
The event was part of WWE’s 10-year deal with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to create premium live events to promote Saudi Vision 2030.
According to a memo sent to key WWE executives, WWE Crown Jewel 2022 is now the most-viewed international WWE premium live event of all time.
The event surpassed UK-based premium live event WWE Clash At The Castle to top the list of biggest global audiences.
In order, the WWE Saudi Arabia shows with the highest global audiences are now:
Crown Jewel 2022
Greatest Royal Rumble 2018
Elimination Chamber 2022
Crown Jewel 2021
Super ShowDown 2019
The event saw another milestone, as Dakota Kai and IYO SKY beat Asuka and Alexa Bliss for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, making the first time a women’s WWE title changed hands at a show held in Saudi Arabia.
Roman Reigns also defeated popular YouTuber-turned-wrestler Logan Paul in the show’s main event to retain his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
The Usos retained their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against the Brawling Brutes, retaining the Bloodline’s streak of dominance in the company.
