An IMPACT Wrestling star has been granted their release several months after initially requesting it, according to a new report.
According to Fightful Select, IMPACT wrestler Lady Frost was granted her release in October, months after asking to leave the company.
Frost made her debut for the company during the July 8, 2021 episode of IMPACT.
According to the report, originally IMPACT had no intention of granting the release, but changed tact before the most recent block of television tapings
Several people in the company pushed for Frost to be granted her release, as it did not seem productive to keep her under contract.
Lady Frost had gone directly to Leonard Asper – President and CEO of Anthem – for her release, and followed up regularly on the issue until it was eventually granted to her.
Frost worked several CMLL shows in recent weeks, which indicated that she may be being made be a free agent.
According to the report, sources have indicated that CMLL was happy with Frost’s performance, and the two sides plan on working together in the future.
IMPACT’s most recent wrestling pay-per-view event was Bound For Glory 2022, which was held on October 7.
The main event saw Josh Alexander defeat Eddie Edwards for the IMPACT World Championship.
