Here’s what happened with Braun Strowman and Ricochet following Friday’s (November 25) edition of WWE SmackDown.
During the show, Strowman and Ricochet faced off in the semifinals of the SmackDown World Cup.
Ricochet ultimately scored the victory, pinning Strowman with a crucifix hold after Imperium made their way to ringside.
This marked Strowman’s first loss since returning to WWE in September. It didn’t take long for the Monster Among Men to make a comeback though, with Strowman scoring a victory in a dark match after the episode.
After the cameras stopped rolling, Strowman and Ricochet teamed up to defeat Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser in tag-team action.
Strowman and Ricochet hinted at an alliance on the show, with Ricochet saving Strowman from an Imperium beatdown after their bout.
Both men appear to be in the Intercontinental Title picture currently. Despite losing in the tournament, it appears that Strowman and GUNTHER will feud soon, as GUNTHER was one of the parties who distracted Strowman in his semifinal bout.
Ricochet is set to face Santos Escobar in the tournament finals on the December 2 show, with the winner earning a shot at GUNTHER’s Intercontinental Championship.
