A WWE star feels like there were plans for him in NXT, but it all worked out.
At NXT Halloween Havoc 2021, Solo Sikoa made his WWE debut and quickly became a popular star for the brand.
In September, Sikoa made the jump to the main roster by making his debut at WWE Clash At The Castle to help Roman Reigns defeat Drew McIntyre and joined The Bloodline.
The 29 year old then returned to NXT on the September 13 episode and defeated Carmelo Hayes to win the NXT North American Championship, but he was forced to relinquish it the following week.
Speaking with Superstar Crossover’s Josh Martinez, Sikoa was asked whether there are plans for him on NXT and the North American Championship.
The Bloodline member responded by noting that he felt like there were plans for him to potentially challenge Bron Breakker for the NXT Championship.
Sikoa answered:
“I felt like, before I got called up, there were a lot of plans to go after [the NXT North American Championship], to go over Carmelo Hayes and maybe Bron Breakker, you know, generation versus generation.”
Reflecting on how everything happened, Solo believes everything worked out just fine the way it was.
He said:
“I just felt like it worked out just fine. Just letting everybody know that I never lost the North American Title.”
“I had to give it up, so that’s different things. I just felt like the plans worked out just fine because I’m here and I’m going after another title, hopefully soon.”
