Did Braun Strowman Beat Gunther For WWE Intercontinental Championship On SmackDown

Tonight’s (January 13) Friday night SmackDown kicked off with a big championship match to start the show between Braun Strowman and GUNTHER.

Putting his Intercontinental Championship on the line, GUNTHER had Imperium in his corner as he took on Braun Strowman with the title on the line.

In the hotly anticipated match up, GUNTHER and Strowman left nothing on the table as they engaged in a brutal battle.

With commentary and both combatants putting over Braun’s injured shoulder throughout the match, he still waged impressive offense.

With the crowd squarely behind Strowman, GUNTHER continued to target the injured shoulder as well as delivering powerful chops.

In the end though, the IC champ retained his title via pinfall.

Elsewhere scheduled for tonight’s WWE SmackDown, a massive main event when Sami Zayn is set to take on Kevin Owens.

Also, an appearance by WWE SmackDown Women’s champion Charlotte Flair and an appearance from Bray Wyatt.
