Bryan Danielson is still on his quest to earn a shot at the AEW World Championship at the upcoming AEW Revolution pay-per-view.
Since the turn of the new year, Bryan has been wrestling every week to earn the contendership at MJF’s championship.
Bryan defeated Tony Nese, Konosuke Takeshita and Bandido in the prior weeks, with him set to earn a 60-minute Iron Man match against MJF should he win every match until mid-February.
On last week’s Dynamite, MJF paid Cage to take out Brian for him, setting up Bryan’s opponent for this week’s show.
Bryan picked up the win over Cage on the show, taking him one step closer to his match with MJF at Revolution.
Cage jumped Bryan after the match, continuing to lay him out with Powerbombs, until MJF came out to the ring. Cage then wrapped a chair around Bryan’s arm, running him into the ringpost before MJF continued the assault on Bryan before Takeshita ran to the ring to make the save.
Takeshita then checked on Bryan following the assault, with him gaining respect for the American Dragon after their match two weeks ago.
