John Cena wrestled his first and only match in the year 2022 on the December 30 episode of SmackDown, where he and Kevin Owens defeated Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn.
Cena has been speculated for a match against current United States Champion Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles in April.
Cena has been in Australia filming the upcoming Ricky Stanicky movie, which many thought would rule him out of appearances heading into the show.
However, we now know when we can expect to see the 16-time world champion back on our television screens, as WWE has announced that Cena will be appearing at the March 6 episode of Raw in Boston.
Theory retained the United States Championship inside the Elimination Chamber, last eliminating Seth Rollins thanks to interference from Logan Paul.
Theory issued an open challenge for tonight’s (February 20) episode of Raw, which was answered by Edge.
This will be Cena’s first appearance on Raw since his 20-year anniversary show last June.
