There was a major creative change to WWE Raw as a WWE Hall of Famer didn’t appear, despite plans for it to happen.
It had previously been reported by Fightful Select that WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus was at WWE Raw in Ottawa and was “listed internally” for the Ding Dong Hello segment.
That segment would end up being Lita and Becky Lynch challenging Damage CTRL for the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles, and Stratus didn’t actually appear.
A “creative change” had reportedly led to the switch on the show itself.
WRKD Wrestling has now provided further details on Twitter, stating:
“In case you couldn’t tell, plans changed last minute tonight.
“Be patient, hang in there, Trish is still on the way.
“And she will be working a storyline she’s wanted to for quite some time.”
What the plans are and what the storyline will be are unknown at the moment.
Before changes to plans in recent weeks, WRKD Wrestling had reported that Lita, Trish Stratus & Becky Lynch vs Damage CTRL was the plan for Elimination Chamber.
