Details have emerged on WWE star Sonya Deville recently being arrested in her home state of New Jersey.
Per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Sonya was arrested in New Jersey for having a firearm in her vehicle.
Sonya has a permit for the firearm in Florida, but her permit was not valid in New Jersey.
Sonya is currently in the process of getting the case thrown out, as she started carrying the firearm after her home invasion back in 2020.
Fightful noted that sources told them that Sonya was celebrating with her fiancee, and the gun was in their vehicle as it was being valeted.
WWE sources claimed there was no heat on Sonya, as they understand why she would want to protect herself following the home invasion situation.
Fightful also notes that following the incident, Sonya got help from a judge in expediting her permit in Florida in order to protect herself.
TMZ also reported on the incident, noting that Deville had been charged with one count of unlawful weapon possession, handgun without permit.
TMZ also notes that Sonya is set for a hearing court for the incident later this month.
