Seth Rollins has recalled the moment he realised he accidentally turned face, ahead of his current WWE storyline.
With fans singing along to Rollins’ theme at pretty much every WWE event he appears on nowadays, it’s easy to forget that this character was initially a heel.
Speaking on WWE After The Bell, Rollins remembered getting a positive reaction when he was meant to be a heel during an angle with Matt Riddle at a Madison Square Garden show.
Rollins noted:
“(At) the end of the show, Riddle’s out there doing something. And I came out to stomp his head into the steel steps, and I’m wearing this shiny, beautiful black suit.
“And I end the episode by stomping his head into steel steps, thinking I’m going to hear a chorus of boos when in fact, the choir is singing my song.”
It took a while for the crowd to stop singing Rollins song on the March 6 edition of Raw, ahead of The Visionary’s confrontation with Logan Paul.
During the show, it was confirmed that Rollins and Paul will face off in singles action at WrestleMania 39.
More matches were announced for WrestleMania 39 on WWE Raw, which you can read about at this link.
