The WWE Backlash premium live event in Puerto Rico is now in the books, and it was one match in particular that has everybody talking.
The match was the San Juan Street Fight, which saw Bad Bunny compete in his first singles match against Judgment Day member Damian Priest.
Bunny picked up the win in the match following a lot of interference from the Judgment Day, the LWO, Carlito and Savio Vega.
The two men were reportedly pushing to main event the show, which ultimately didn’t end up happening, but the work put in by Priest over the past few months has not gone unnoticed.
Per PWInsider Elite (via WrestlingNews.co), there was a ‘ton of praise’ internally for the work that Priest has done in recent months to ‘level himself up’ in recent months which culminated with this weekend’s Street Fight.
One source in the company told PWInsider that Priest ‘has to be seen as’ one of the ‘top level players’ in the company going forward.
Priest is a part of the tournament to crown the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
