WWE has now officially announced a match for LA Knight with a new tag team partner for the next episode of SmackDown.
In a backstage segment that aired on SmackDown LowDown after the May 12 episode of SmackDown, Knight interrupted an interview with the Street Profits.
Knight basically said he could beat the Profits in a tag match no matter who his own partner was.
Then, he called over Rick Boogs, and challenged the Profits to a match against, well, himself and Boogs.
As announced on WWE.com, that match has now been made official for this week’s May 19 episode of SmackDown.
It remains to be seen whether the Boogs/Knight partnership will be something that lasts, or just a quick thing for one to turn on the other before we get back on track for the Knight singles run that everyone is hoping for.
