Update On Nature Of Liv Morgan’s Injury & Recovery Time WWE

An update has emerged on the nature of the recent injury suffered by Liv Morgan on the May 12 episode of WWE SmackDown.

The injury caused Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to vacate the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

It occurred during a tag team match with Morgan and Rodriguez against Bayley and Dakota Kai, a match in which Kai also suffered an injury.

According to PWInsider, Morgan’s injury was related to her shoulder and it’s believed it could be a torn rotator cuff.

Perhaps expected given the title situation, but Morgan reportedly “is not expected back anytime soon”.

As was reported yesterday, the injury suffered by Dakota Kai in the same match was a torn ACL so she’ll likely be out of action for anywhere between six months and a year.

We wish both Liv Morgan and Dakota Kai all the best with their recoveries.

Next week on Raw, a four-way match will crown new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, with the four teams being Raquel Rodriguez & Shotzi, Bayley & IYO SKY, Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville, and Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler.

The card for WWE Night of Champions 2023 on Saturday, May 27 is as follows:

World Heavyweight Championship – Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins vs. AJ Styles

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship – Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn (c) vs. Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa

Raw Women’s Championship – Bianca Belair (c) vs. Asuka

SmackDown Women’s Championship – Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Natalya

Intercontinental Championship – Gunther (c) vs. Mustafa Ali

Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar

Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus
