A new WWE title belt was revealed on tonight’s edition of WWE SmackDown (June 2) as Triple H presented a new belt to Roman Reigns.
After Triple H came to the ring to celebrate Roman Reigns’ 1000th day as Universal Champion, he presented the champ with a new title belt.
Throughout the show, the accomplishment had been touted as there were various video packages to explain the significance.
Including videos highlighting notable wins, Roman Reigns was shown surpassing the reigns of WWE greats and recognizable names including The Rock to achieve a record breaking title reign.
In an accompanying social media post, WWE wrote about the “BRAND NEW Undisputed WWE Universal Championship,” as Roman Reigns was shown proudly holding the Championship up as plenty of pyro exploded.
For those interested in these sort of details, reference to the lineage for the title and how it proceeds moving forward was not referenced. Paul Heyman was still shown on camera leaving with the other two individual championship belts.
Although the joyous celebration was short lived as the group was joined by Jimmy and Jey Uso as Triple H swiftly left the ring, The Bloodline storyline continued to unravel.
