An AEW star’s contract is reportedly expiring soon following their debut in late May 2022 at Double or Nothing.
With an earlier report that Rush was off AEW television due to visa issues, further details have emerged over the Mexican star’s contract.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required), Rush had a one-year deal with AEW and that deal is “believed to be up soon.”
It has recently been reported that AEW are in negotiations to sign Kenny Omega, Adam Page and The Young Bucks to new contracts.
According to the report, WWE sources have indicated that the company would have interest in all four members of The Elite if they were to become available.
It has been stated, however, that AEW are confident they can sign all four to a new contracts.
It was previously reported that AEW were being more aggressive in their quest to retain their top stars.
Rush has previously been involved in a “real bad” situation with AAA which led to him leaving the Mexican company.
