The second annual AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event is set to take place this Sunday, and we so far only know for matches announced for the show.
With two more episodes of AEW television taking place before the show, it’s likely that more matches will be announced as early as tomorrow night’s (June 21) Dynamite show.
However, we may now have got confirmation on two popular NJPW stars that are set to be in action on the show.
Today, AEW advertised a Forbidden Door meet and greet set to take place on Saturday at the AEW Collision tapings, featuring four NJPW stars.
Two of those names are IWGP World Heavyweight Champion SANADA and Hiroshi Tanahashi, who are both set for world title matches on the show, while the other two are Minoru Suzuki and Tomohiro Ishii.
Neither Suzuki or Ishii have been officially confirmed for the Forbidden Door event as of now, but their presence in Toronto on Saturday seems to confirm they will be a part of the event.
Suzuki is set to be in action on tomorrow night’s Dynamite, teaming with Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara against AR Fox, Action Andretti and Darius Martin.
Get ready!! The #AEWxNJPW #ForbiddenDoor meet & greet will take place THIS SATURDAY at #AEWCollision! An #AEWCollision ticket will be required for entry. Stay tuned for more details!https://t.co/GFETszDZbd pic.twitter.com/MGEjnlWVPj
