An update has emerged on the brand new US-based Japanese women’s promotion set to launch this September, with two brand new names confirmed to be joining.
The promotion, which already added former WWE Women’s Champion Bull Nakano to both their in-ring roster and behind the scenes staff, have now scooped up two of the country’s top stars.
According to PWInsider both Arisa Nakajima and Tomoka Inaba will join Nakano as the first names on the roster.
The pair represent a contrast of experience and youth, with Nakajima a well-traveled name with nearly two decades experience, perhaps known best for working in JWP (Joshi Puroresu).
Inaba on the other hand is only 20-years-old, but has already gained experience working for Taka Michinoku’s Just Tap Out promotion as well as holding numerous championships already.
This was later confirmed by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, who added:
Names for the new women’s promotion that will debut in September in New York include Tomoka Inaba, who has worked for Stardom, placed in the Rookie of the Year balloting and is from Taka Michinoku’s Just Tap Out group, and Arisa Nakajima, from JWP, who has also worked for Stardom in the past.
As Meltzer stated, the promotion’s first event will in fact take place in the United States despite the promotion thus far only containing Japanese talent.
However, with a few months until their debut show in September in New York there is still plenty time for extra names to be added to the roster.
