WWE has officially announced the return of 16-time World Champion John Cena.
Cena is set to appear on the September 1 episode of SmackDown in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and is set to wrestle at the WWE Superstar Spectacle in India on September 8.
Cena last wrestled at WrestleMania 39, where he was defeated by Austin Theory, with his next match set to be his first in India.
Here are seven possible plans for John Cena following his return on September 1.
7. A Match With Grayson Waller
The obvious next match for Cena that has been set up would be against Grayson Waller.
Cena and Waller were part of a face to face at Money In The Bank in London, with Cena leaving Waller laying with an AA.
In the short time since he was called up, Waller made his in-ring SmackDown debut against Edge in the main event at Madison Square Garden, as well as taking part in segments with Cena, Logan Paul, Roman Reigns, Rey Mysterio and being a part of an internet beef with The Rock.
This seems like a spot they’d want to have him in.
