An unseen video from this week’s WWE Raw (September 4) from Charlotte, NC has shown a hilarious moment during John Cena’s ‘appearance’ on Miz TV.
To the surprise of many, during Raw’s Miz TV segment, The Miz introduced 16-time world champion John Cena as his guest, despite not being advertised to appear on the show.
Although WWE’s production and The Miz sold the surprise appearance as legitimate, with Miz even hitting a skull crushing finale on ‘Cena’, there was in fact nobody there, playing on Cena’s long-running gag relating to his ‘You Can’t See Me’ catchphrase.
While this was rather entertaining, what was even more so was footage posted by WWE on Instagram, which showed the WWE cameraman’s efforts to act like Cena was present and making his entrance despite nobody being there.
The footage showed the camera man running from one side of the stage area to the other before charging down the ramp in the fashion that he usually would when Cena makes his run to the ring.
At the end of the segment Miz would challenge LA Knight to a rematch, following his loss to the Knight at WWE Payback, only this time with no special guest referee or unexpected surprises.
Elsewhere on Raw there was a late change of plans to a big match on the show involving a star who was glaringly absent from the night’s proceedings – click here to find out more.
