There has been a potential spoiler on an AEW star set to make their return to the ring at AEW Full Gear on November 18.
On the October 10 Title Tuesday special episode of Dynamite, Powerhouse Hobbs made short work of Chris Jericho, defeating the former AEW World Champion in dominant fashion.
On last week’s show, Jericho spoke to Renee Paquette, where he said that Hobbs may be big, but Jericho knows someone bigger, and that he would ‘give him a call’.
In an update from Fightful Select (subscription required), the working plan is Paul Wight to make his return, where he would work some sort of match at Full Gear.
Wight has not wrestled since a squash match on AEW Dark: Elevation in March 2022.
Wight made an appearance on the Zero Hour pre-show of AEW All In at Wembley Stadium, where he, Anthony Ogogo and Grado fought off Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh.
It’s worth noting that Chris Jericho recently filed to trademark the ‘Jeri-show’ team name, so it would be free for him to use.
Wight most recently appeared on Dynamite in a pre-tape with Adam Cole and MJF, where he was dressed as Captain Insano.
