Negative Mainstream Attention Surrounding Upcoming WWE Event

WWE has received some negative mainstream attention for the prices of tickets for the upcoming Clash at the Castle premium live event.

Following the success of the 2022 show in Cardiff, Wales, a second Clash at the Castle event was announced for June 15 at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.

While British fans were in initially excited about the upcoming international event, a lot of recent discourse about the show has been surrounding the high ticket prices.

The cheapest tickets for the event cost £300 ($375) each, and the most expensive seats setting fans back over £2000 ($2503) per ticket.

BBC News has now shared an article on the backlash surrounding the ticket prices for next month’s WWE show.

The article, titled “WWE fans slam ‘extortionate’ prices for Scottish clash”, featured quotes from a number of fans who are disappointed about the price-tag associated with attending Clash at the Castle 2024.

It was also noted in the article that a WWE spokesperson told BBC News that some tickets at a lower price point across the two nights had been on sale.

The spokesperson declined to give details on how many of those tickets were available or sold, however.

WWE will host an episode of SmackDown from the Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on June 14, one night before Clash at the Castle 2024.
