WWE’s reported interest in bringing back former NXT star Sarray (Sareee) has been described as ‘pretty overblown’.
Sareee was announced as signing a ‘multi-year’ deal with American Joshi promotion Sukeban following reports of being in ‘deep negotiations’ for a United States return.
It was also reported that WWE had interest in signing Sareee once again, with the former NXT star’s decision to sign for Sukeban leaving ‘no ill will‘ on the WWE side.
Dave Meltzer has provided further details after a WWE source said there were ‘preliminary things discussed about trying to bring her back’ according to Fightful.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer addressed the interest in Sareee, saying:
“The stuff about her and WWE – pretty overblown.
“From talking to people in WWE, they were not really talking about her.”

WWE also reportedly has an interest in Giulia, although she remains under contract until March 2024 and has a busy couple of months ahead.
Kairi Sane recently made her return to WWE at Crown Jewel on November 4, siding with IYO SKY.
Plans have emerged for Sane following her involvement in the match between SKY and Bianca Belair.
