Two AEW stars risked “suspension” through the end of the year and their upcoming pay-per-view match being cancelled.
Ahead of AEW Full Gear coming to pay-per-view this Saturday, November 18, two AEW stars had a big segment with consequences on Dynamite tonight.
As there was an in-ring interview segment with Tony Schiavone hosting Hangman Adam Page facing off against Swerve Strickland, there was a big stipulation on the conversation.
Should either of the opponents get physical with one another, the match at Full Gear would be cancelled and they would both be suspended for the rest of 2023.
There wouldn’t be any words from Strickland however as Page took the microphone and delivered a series of zingers.
Page noted that he couldn’t attack Strickland, but no-one said anything about Prince Nana, and then attacked Nana as Swerve stood by and was unable to help.
After the segment, Tony Khan confirmed that the pair held to their obligation for the match to proceed, writing:
Khan tweeted:
“Hangman + @swerveconfident lived up to their obligations tonight on #AEWDynamite, the Texas Death Match is ON for this Saturday at #AEWFullGear! I can’t wait for Full Gear Saturday, and Dynamite’s off to a great start TONIGHT!
“Thank you all watching @AEWonTV on TBS right NOW!”
