Details have emerged on the WWE talent meeting that took place ahead of Monday’s (January 1) edition of Monday Night Raw.
This week’s edition of Raw, branded ‘WWE Raw Day 1’, marked the first episode of WWE TV of the year.
A new report has indicated that ahead of the show, a talent meeting took place.
Per PWInsider, the meeting was led by Chief Content Officer Triple H and WWE President Nick Khan.
The meeting was reportedly short and positive, with one source telling PWInsider that it focused on ‘rallying the troops’, describing it as a ‘great meeting’.
PWInsider also noted that this meeting was essentially to thank the talent for everything they do.
Dave Meltzer confirmed on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE Raw Day 1 was also WWE’s first show without Kevin Dunn.
The former WWE Executive Producer & Chief, Global Television Distribution informed WWE around Christmas week he was leaving following decades with the company.
Details on the backstage reaction to the announcement of Kevin Dunn’s exit can be found right here.
Nick Khan recently addressed Dunn’s departure in an internal email.
