A former champion is believed to be on their way back to WWE before the end of January following return reports.
It was recently reported that former SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi (Trinity) was believed to be on her way back to the company and would be finishing up with TNA Wrestling.
In an update from PWInsider, WWE sources have confirmed that Trinity is expected to return to the company at the end of her TNA commitments, with one source stating that it is believed she could be back as soon as the end of January.
A source followed up on PWInsider’s initial report, noting that the belief is that Trinity will be finishing up with TNA at the company’s Orlando tapings following Hard to Kill next weekend.
Naomi and Sasha Banks walked out of WWE Raw back on May 16, 2022, with them both becoming free agents at the start of 2023.
Trinity is the current reigning TNA Knockouts Champion.
She is set to defend the title against Jordynne Grace at next weekend’s TNA Hard to Kill pay-per-view.
Another WWE return is seemingly set for tonight’s (January 5) SmackDown show, which you can see here.
