An update has emerged on WWE star and Imperium member Giovanni Vinci following his injury on the January 1 edition of Raw.
Vinci teamed with Ludwig Kaiser at WWE Raw Day 1 to face off against Kofi Kingston and Jey Uso.
The match was called off shortly after Giovanni Vinci took a dropkick from Kofi Kingston, with Kingston and Uso awarded the victory due to referee stoppage and ringside officials checking on Vinci.
While Vinci left the ringside area with Ludwig Kaiser and eventually took to social media to state that he’s fine, there has been some concern surrounding Vinci following the match stoppage.
WWE shared an official update on Vinci during the January 9 edition of Raw, with Michael Cole on commentary stating that Vinci will be out for ‘a number of weeks’.
The nature of Vinci’s injury is currently unclear.
Ludwig Kaiser appeared on Monday’s show, with his match against Kofi Kingston ending in a double countout after the duo decided to brawl at ringside.
After brutalising Kingston, Kaiser stated that he attacked Kingston as retribution for what happened to Vinci.
We will continue to provide updates on Vinci’s status as they become available.
We wish Vinci a safe and healthy recovery.
