The reason for a current AEW Champion’s absence from the ring has been revealed after not wrestling in a month.
Current AEW TBS Champion Julia Hart has not wrestled since since the January 13 AEW Battle of the Belts IX special, where she retained the title against Anna Jay.
Following the show, Julia has appeared alongside the members of the House of Black, as well as Skye Blue, but has not stepped into the ring herself, leading to some speculation that she may be dealing with an injury,
However, in an update from Fightful Select (subscription required), Fightful had not heard of the specific injury that she was dealing with, but there had been some creative ideas floated that were awaiting her clearance.
Julia appeared on last night’s Dynamite show, accompanying Skye Blue for her match against Willow Nightingale.
Julia is not the only current champion in AEW out of action with an injury, as ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta is also said to be out of action with an injury.
Wheeler is advertised for the upcoming March 29 CMLL show in Arena Mexico, so he is also likely set to return imminently.
Julia is currently not slated to defend the TBS Championship at AEW Revolution in Greensboro.
