A current WWE star has reflected on lessons they learned from their previous ‘awful’ character in the company.
WWE’s Retribution faction will go down as one of the most infamous stables in the history of wrestling.
The group consisting of T-Bar (Dijak), Mace, Slapjack (Shane Thorne) and Reckoning (Mia Yim) is often ridiculed as one of the worst creative pitches in WWE history, but one of the members has reflected on the positive takeaways from the group.
When one fan said that ‘T-Bar walked so Dijak could run’, Dijak discussed the takeaways he and the rest of the group took from their ‘awful’ gimmick.
He said:
Obviously I sh*tpost a lot, especially about T-Bar and Retribution, and deservedly so because it was awful… BUT, I’ll say this.
It taught us perspective, how to endure, how to appreciate, and how to fight for everything.
Take something valuable from every experience. We did.
Dijak returned to NXT in December 2022, shedding the skin of T-Bar and returning to his former name.
He recently teased a potential North American Championship match against Oba Femi on this week’s NXT.
