A new match has been officially announced for this weekend’s WrestleMania 40 event following weeks of animosity.
Karrion Kross debuted his new group ‘the Final Testament’ back at SmackDown New Year’s Revolution in January, where they attacked Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits upon their arrival.
The group, consisting of Kross, Scarlett and the returning Authors of Pain with Paul Ellering, has been at war with Lashley’s ‘Pride’ since then, with an attack by Kross on Lashley costing the Street Profits their shot at WrestleMania against Austin Theory and Grayson Waller on last week’s SmackDown.
In a new Twitter video today, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis officially announced a grudge match between the two teams would take place at WrestleMania 40 this weekend.
Aldis also announced that the match would be a ‘Philadelphia Street Fight’, with Lashley, Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford facing Kross, Akam and Rezar.
Aldis also announced that the match would take place on WrestleMania Sunday, making it the fourth match to have a confirmed night on the show.
This match marks the 13th announced match for the show.
