The return date for former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega’s return to Dynamite has officially been revealed.
Omega has been off AEW television since December 2023, when he announced that he would be out of action due to a diverticulitis diagnosis, causing his planned AEW World Tag Team Championship match with Chris Jericho against Ricky Starks and Big Bill at Worlds End to be cancelled.
Omega has not appeared on Dynamite since then, though he was mentioned in a promo by AEW EVPs Matthew and Nicholas Jackson on the Dynamite following Revolution, where he was fired from the Elite due to ‘unexplained absences’ and replaced by Kazuchika Okada.
Due to the nature of Omega’s absence, fans had been wondering when the Cleaner may reappear on our screens, and we seemingly now have our answer.
Taking to Twitter, the account for the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg announced that Omega would be making an appearance on next week’s (May 1) episode of Dynamite in his hometown.
It has not yet been announced what role Omega will play on the show.
